The FERMAT WF 13 / 13R Horizontal Machining Center is a high-performance floor-type boring mill designed for precision machining of large and heavy workpieces. The machine features a robust table with standard dimensions of 63.0 x 70.8 inches, expandable to 70.8 x 86.6 inches for larger components, and supports a maximum workpiece weight of 33,000 lbs. A rotary table is available as an optional accessory, enhancing versatility for complex operations. The horizontal spindle is equipped with a CAT 50 taper, with BT 50 as an alternative, and delivers a top speed of 3,100 RPM. The spindle motor provides 75 HP (30-minute rating), with an optional upgrade to 80 HP for increased cutting power. The machine supports up to 20 tools standard, expandable to 40, with an optional Automatic Tool Changer (ATC) for improved efficiency. The system operates on three primary axes (X, Y, Z), with an optional fourth axis (U) for advanced machining tasks. The X-axis travel ranges from 59.1 inches up to 338.6 inches, Y-axis from 66.9 inches up to 137.8 inches, and Z-axis travel is included within these ranges. Maximum feed rates reach 315 ipm, with rapid traverse speeds up to 394 ipm on all axes, ensuring fast and accurate positioning.
