Technical Description

This vertical machining center features a robust table measuring 88.000 inches in length by 39.000 inches in width, with an optional smaller table size of 69.000 x 27.500 inches, supporting a maximum workpiece weight of 6,600 lbs. The machine is equipped with an optional index or rotary table for enhanced versatility. The vertical spindle utilizes a CAT#50 taper and delivers a top speed of 6,000 RPM, powered by a 25 HP (30-minute rating) motor for demanding cutting applications. Tooling is managed by a 24-station automatic tool changer (ATC), with a tool change time of 3.5 seconds and a chip-to-chip time of 8.0 seconds, ensuring efficient operation. A pallet changer is available as an option. The machine operates on three standard axes, with a fourth axis available as an option. Axis travels are 80.000 inches (X), 45.000 inches (Y), and 30.000 inches (Z), with optional reduced travel lengths. Maximum feed rates reach 315 inches per minute, while rapid traverse speeds achieve 630 inches per minute on all axes, providing high-speed performance for both roughing and finishing operations.
