Technical Description

This vertical machining center features a robust 43.3" x 20" table supporting workpieces up to 2,204 lbs, ideal for heavy-duty machining. It is equipped with a vertical spindle offering a CT-40 taper as standard with an optional CT-50 taper for increased rigidity and stability in demanding applications. The spindle delivers up to 6,000 RPM standard with an 8,000 RPM option, powered by a 10 HP motor rated for 30 minutes, upgradeable to 12 HP for enhanced performance under load. The machine utilizes a 24-tool automatic tool changer (ATC), expandable to 40 tools, with a fast tool change time of 2.5 seconds and chip-to-chip time of 3.5 seconds, optimizing productivity. A pallet changer is available optionally, supporting one or two pallets to facilitate continuous operation and reduce downtime. It operates on 3 axes (X, Y, Z) with the possibility to add a fourth axis for complex machining tasks. Travel distances are 33.46" (X), 20.5" (Y), and 23.6" (Z), with maximum feed rates of 787 ipm and rapid traverse speeds up to 945 ipm. The spindle taper conforms to ASME B5.50 standards, with CAT40 and CAT50 tapers featuring precise AT3 tolerance, hardened tool holders, and optional internal coolant supply through the tool holders for enhanced cutting efficiency and tool life.
