Technical Description

The Fryer Machine Systems SX-100 is a high-precision 5-axis vertical machining center designed for complex and heavy-duty machining tasks. It features a large fixed table measuring 112" x 30" capable of supporting workpieces up to 5,500 lbs, enabling the machining of substantial components with stability and rigidity. The machine is equipped with a vertical spindle utilizing an HSK 63A taper, delivering up to 15,000 RPM and powered by a 20 HP motor rated for 30-minute operation, balancing high-speed precision and torque for varied machining requirements. Tool management is handled by a 24-tool automatic tool changer (ATC) with a rapid 3-second tool change time, ensuring efficient workflow and minimal downtime. The machine provides five simultaneous axes of motion, with linear travels of 100" (X-axis), 35" (Y-axis), and 34" (Z-axis) at maximum feed and rapid traverse rates of 500 ipm. The A and B rotary axes provide full 360° and 190° rotations respectively, offering exceptional angular flexibility for complex multi-axis machining.
