Technical Description

The GIDDINGS & LEWIS A130-T is a robust Horizontal Boring Mill featuring a 5-inch spindle diameter and a #50 taper with a power draw bar. Control is managed by a G & L "NUMERIPOINT" M-400 system with a CRT on the pendant, enabling manual control and point-to-point positioning, supported by hardened ways on the table and bed and equipped with ballscrews. The machine's travels include 72 inches for the head, 84 inches for the table, 60 inches for the saddle, and 36 inches for the spindle. The work area utilizes a 48 inches by 98 inches table. Spindle speeds range from 6 to 1120 RPM, with feeds from 0.0492 inches to 139.76 inches per minute. Power is delivered by an updated Baldor H2 vector drive connected to a Baldor 30 HP spindle motor, operating on 480 volts, 3 phase, 60 cycle. The machine also includes outrigger supports.
