The vertical spindle operates with a CT40 taper, optionally BT40, delivering a top speed of 8,100 RPM powered by a 30 HP motor rated for 30 minutes, enabling high-speed machining with robust torque. The machine utilizes a 20-tool automatic tool changer (ATC) with quick change times of approximately 4.2 seconds per tool and 4.5 seconds chip-to-chip, enhancing productivity by minimizing tool change delays. It operates primarily on three axes (X, Y, Z) with travel ranges of 30", 16", and 20", respectively, all capable of feed and rapid traverse rates up to 650 IPM feed and 1,000 IPM rapids, ensuring efficient and precise cutting motions. Axis options include up to four axes, with rotary A and B axes available for extended machining capabilities: A axis with 105° rotation and B axis capable of 360°, enabling complex contouring and multi-dimensional machining.
