The machine utilizes a vertical spindle with a CAT40 taper as standard and an optional BT40 taper, delivering spindle speeds up to 12,000 RPM, with an optional upgrade to 15,000 RPM, powered by a 30 HP motor rated for 30 minutes. The machine operates on a 3-axis configuration, providing travels of 30" (X-axis), 20" (Y-axis), and 20" (Z-axis), with maximum feed rates of 833 IPM and rapid traverse at 1,400 IPM on all axes. An optional 4th axis can be integrated, though the U axis is not available. It features an automatic tool changer (ATC) with a 25-tool capacity, enabling efficient machining with tool change times of 1.6 seconds and chip-to-chip times of 2.2 seconds. The design supports optional indexing or rotary tables for extended workpiece versatility but does not include a pallet changer. This configuration provides precise, high-speed machining suitable for heavy-duty applications requiring substantial workholding and spindle power.
