This CNC vertical machining center features a 48" x 18" (L x W) worktable capable of supporting workpieces up to 3,500 lbs, with optional support for an index table but no rotary table included. It operates with a vertical spindle having a CT 40 taper, with BT 40 taper available as an option, spinning up to 8,100 RPM. The spindle motor provides 30 HP at a 30-minute rating, delivering robust power for heavy-duty machining. Tooling is managed via a 20-tool automatic tool changer (ATC), with a tool change time of 4.2 seconds and an additional 4.5 seconds chip-to-chip change time, optimizing machining cycle efficiency. The machine is primarily configured as a 3-axis system (X, Y, Z) with travel distances of 40", 20", and 25" respectively, each axis running at a max feed rate of 650 ipm and rapid traverse speed of 1,000 ipm. Optional 4-axis capability is available, although no U-axis is included. Rotary axes A and B are present, with A rotating 105° and B offering full 360° rotation, enabling enhanced part positioning and multi-angle machining capabilities. This robust configuration supports precision vertical milling for medium to large-sized components, suitable for heavy workpieces and complex geometries requiring stable, high-torque spindle performance and efficient tool management.
