The Haas VF-2SS with UR10e Cobot is a high-performance vertical machining center engineered for precision, speed, and automation. It features 30" X, 16" Y, and 20" Z-axis travels with rapid traverse rates up to 1,400 IPM, enabling efficient multi-axis machining. The spindle is a powerful 30 HP, 12,000 RPM direct-drive unit with a CT40 taper, supporting high-speed cutting operations and rigid tapping. The 36" x 14" table can hold up to 1,500 lbs, accommodating substantial workpieces. Equipped with a 24+1 side-mount automatic tool changer, the machine supports quick 1.8-second tool changes and can handle tools up to 12 lbs and 5" in diameter, optimizing cycle times. The VF-2SS integrates a through-spindle coolant system, programmable coolant nozzles, and a coolant mist condenser to maintain optimal cutting conditions. Chip management is enhanced with a chip auger for continuous clearing. Control features include user-definable macros, spindle orientation, coordinate rotation and scaling, and a wireless intuitive probing system (WIPS), streamlining setup and in-process inspection.
