A+Technical Description
The Heller H 10000 is a high-performance 4-axis horizontal machining center designed for heavy-duty production of large and complex workpieces. Featuring a robust machine bed and a crossbed arrangement, it supports the X- and Z-axes, while the machine column moves in the X direction and houses the machining unit, which moves in Y. The NC rotary feed table (B-axis) provides continuous adjustment up to 360° with indexing accuracy of 0.001°, enabling precise workpiece positioning. The spindle is horizontally arranged with an SK 50 taper as standard, with HSK-A100 available as an option, and delivers up to 57 hp (79 hp optional) at speeds up to 8,000 rpm (12,500 rpm optional). The table measures 39.3 x 39.3 inches and supports workpieces up to 8,800 lbs. A standard pallet changer with two pallets ensures efficient workpiece handling, while the chain-type automatic tool changer (ATC) offers 50 tool positions (expandable to 425) and a rapid chip-to-chip tool change time of 5.5 seconds. Linear axis travels are X: 62.99", Y: 55.11", and Z: 51.18", all with a maximum feed rate and rapid traverse of 1,769 ipm. Roller-bearing linear guides and a stable YRT bearing in the rotary axis guarantee high dynamic rigidity, precision, and thermal stability. Direct absolute measuring systems in all axes ensure maximum accuracy and minimal positioning tolerances. The H 10000 is engineered for high process stability, short non-productive times, and seamless integration into automated production environments.
