Technical Description

The Heller Machine Tools H 14000 Horizontal Machining Center is a high-performance, 4-axis CNC machine designed for heavy-duty machining of large workpieces. It features a robust horizontal spindle with an SK 50 taper (optionally HSK-A100) capable of speeds up to 8,000 RPM, with an optional 12,500 RPM spindle for enhanced cutting capability. The machine’s spindle motor provides 57 kW (approx. 79 kW optional) power delivering strong cutting performance. The large worktable measures 39.3" x 39.3" (1000 mm x 1000 mm) and can support workpieces up to 8,800 lbs (4 tonnes), ideal for substantial part sizes. The X, Y, and Z linear travels are approximately 94.48" x 63" x 63" respectively (2400 x 1600 x 1600 mm), coupled with rapid traverse rates of 1,611 inches per minute to maximize throughput. The H 14000 includes a standard rotary table as the B-axis, providing full 360-degree rotation, which enables complex 4-axis machining operations with high accuracy reaching minimal positioning tolerances due to direct absolute measuring systems and rigid YRT bearings. Its automatic tool changer (ATC) holds 50 tools as standard, expandable up to 425, with a rapid tool change time of 6.7 seconds. The dual-pallet changer system improves efficiency by enabling continuous machining without downtime for loading/unloading.
