This vertical machining center features a compact 9.8" x 9.8" table capable of supporting workpieces up to 440 lbs, suitable for precision machining of moderate-size parts. The machine operates with 5 controlled axes (X, Y, Z, A rotary axis) allowing complex 5-axis machining without a U axis. The travels are 30" in X, 20" in Y, 20.5" in Z, with an A-axis rotation of 140° enabling versatile angular machining. The vertical spindle uses an HSK63 taper with a high-speed capability up to 18,000 RPM powered by a 47 HP motor rated for 30-minute duty, providing excellent torque and rigidity for heavy material removal. Tool handling is managed by a 24-tool arm-type automatic tool changer with an optional upgrade to 40 tools, delivering rapid 3-second tool changes and 7-second chip-to-chip times for enhanced productivity. Rapid traverse and maximum feed rates reach 1,575 ipm for all linear axes, supporting efficient high-speed machining cycles. Optional support can be added for index tables and rotary tables to further enhance flexible fixturing capabilities.
