Technical Description

The HURCO HBMX55I is a robust Horizontal Boring Mill engineered for high precision and demanding operations. Key specifications include a 4.30-inch spindle with a maximum speed of 2,500 RPM and a powerful 40.4 HP (30 kW peak) motor. The machine features expansive travel capabilities: X-Axis travel of 55.00 inches (1,400 mm), Y-Axis travel of 54.70 inches (1,390 mm), Z-Axis travel of 1,100 mm, and W-Axis travel of 500 mm, supported by hardened box ways on X, Y, and Z axes. The rotary table measures 44.09 inches by 49.19 inches (1,120 x 1,250 mm) and can support a maximum load of 4,000 kg. Accuracy is enhanced by linear glass scales for thermal stability and a contouring 4th axis rotary table.
