It supports a maximum turning diameter and length of 11.8 inches, with a max swing over the bed of 21.7 inches and a spindle chuck diameter of 6 inches. The main spindle operates up to 6,000 RPM with a standard power of 10 HP, upgradeable to 15 HP, and accommodates bar diameters up to 1.7 inches. The machine features a turret-style primary tool carrier with up to 12 tools for both turning and rotary operations, with rotary tools running at 5,000 RPM powered by 5 HP. It offers 2-axis standard movement (X and Z) with optional 3-axis configurations, featuring rapid traverse rates of 1,417 inches per minute for enhanced productivity. The CUTEX 160 employs highly rigid LM linear guides on all axes and incorporates an extra-rigid Meehanite cast iron frame with a 45-degree torque rib design to minimize thermal distortion and maintain machining accuracy.
