This CNC machining center features a vertical spindle with a BT-40 taper, optionally configurable to CAT 40, capable of up to 20,000 RPM (top RPM optionally 14,000) and rated at 30 HP (30-minute rating), with an optional upgrade to 50 HP. It supports a large rectangular table sized 107.95" × 117.95" with a maximum workpiece weight capacity of 1,764 lbs. The machine includes a 3-axis configuration (X: 41.34", Y: 23.62", Z: 13.78") with maximum feed rates and rapid traverses at 1,181 inches per minute. An optional fourth axis and rotary table support can be added. Tool handling is managed by a 30-tool automatic tool changer (ATC), extendable to 40 tools, with an optional pallet changer accommodating two pallets. The spindle taper options BT-40 and CAT 40 share the same taper angle (7/24) but differ in flange thickness and pull stud specifications; BT-40 holders are symmetrical, offering better balance at high speeds, while CAT 40 holders are asymmetrical but widely used in CNC machining centers. This machine’s robust spindle power and high-speed capability combined with a large work envelope make it suited for heavy-duty and high-precision milling operations, supporting versatile tooling and pallet configurations to optimize productivity and machining flexibility. The absence of a U axis standard highlights a focus on 3-axis precision milling with expansions available per application needs.
