The HWACHEON VT 550 2SP is a dual-spindle vertical machining center designed for high-productivity turning and milling operations. Featuring two main spindles each rated at 60 HP and 1,500 RPM, the machine accommodates workpieces with maximum turning diameters up to 25.6" and lengths of 27.5", with a chuck diameter of 15" and maximum swing of 32.2". The machine is equipped with dual tool carriers configured as turrets, each capable of holding up to 12 turning tools and 12 rotary tools, allowing simultaneous engagement of two cutting tools for enhanced efficiency. Both rotary tool positions deliver 10 HP at 1,500 RPM. The system operates on four controlled axes with rapid traverse capabilities reaching 787 inches per minute across X, Y, and Z axes.
