The Hyundai WIA L150Y (SY) is a high-performance horizontal multitasking turning center designed for precision and versatility in complex machining operations. Featuring a true cross-type Y-axis, this machine enables accurate off-center milling, drilling, and turning without the need for interpolation, significantly enhancing machining accuracy and flexibility. The main spindle delivers a maximum turning diameter of 9.400", a turning length of 20.900", and a maximum swing of 21.700", accommodating workpieces up to 6.500" in chuck diameter and 1.800" in bar capacity. The main spindle operates at up to 6,000 RPM with 15 HP, while the optional sub-spindle also reaches 6,000 RPM with 5 HP, allowing for efficient part transfer and completion of both ends in a single setup. The turret-based tool carrier supports up to 12 turning tools and 12 rotary tools, with simultaneous cutting capability for one tool. Rotary tools provide up to 3.6 HP and 4,000 RPM for milling and drilling operations. The machine offers 4-axis standard configuration, with options for 5-axis capability.
