A+Technical Description
The INDEX TRAUB MS32 is a CNC-controlled six-spindle automatic lathe designed for high-precision series production of turned parts from bar stock with a maximum diameter of 32mm (1.260"). This multi-spindle machine features six main work spindles operating at 8,000 rpm maximum speed with 10.5kW power at 100% duty cycle, expandable to 19kW at 25% duty cycle. The machine accommodates bar diameters up to 32mm with a maximum 40mm clamping diameter. It incorporates a flexible, freely configurable tool carrier system with up to twelve tool carriers that can be arranged as cross slides with NC X and Z axes, grooving slides, or drilling slides. The machine includes swiveling synchronized spindles at positions 5 and 6 for rear-end machining, supporting up to six tools with two live tools. Advanced features include ballscrew axis drives, the Siemens S840D Solution Line CNC control, and an INDEX quick-clamping system with patented W-serration for rapid tool setup. The machine measures 3,365mm in length, 1,966mm in width, and 2,854mm in height, with an approximate weight of 6,800kg. Optional capabilities include Y-axis control, C-axis for polygon turning, gear hobbing, and tool monitoring. The iXpanel operating system with 18.5-inch touchscreen and Industry 4.0 readiness is standard. This configuration enables highly productive manufacturing with minimized cycle times and setup durations through its innovative quick-change tooling and presetting capabilities.
