The Italmac Pegaso 7000 is a high-performance 4-axis CNC vertical machining center designed for precise machining of large profiles. It features extensive travels of 275.6" along the X-axis, 27.5" on the Y-axis, and 11.8" on the Z-axis, allowing machining of profile sections up to 27.5" x 11.8". The A-axis offers rotational movement of ±90 degrees, enhancing flexibility for complex geometry machining. The machine is equipped with a powerful 13 HP liquid-cooled spindle operating at speeds up to 24,000 RPM, utilizing an HSK-40 taper for high precision tool holding. Rapid traverse rates are notably fast, with the X-axis reaching 3,937 IPM, Y-axis 2,165 IPM, and Z-axis 1,181 IPM, which supports efficient production cycles. The Pegaso 7000 incorporates a 7-position automatic tool changer for reducing tool change time and increasing productivity. Its overall footprint measures 359" x 108" x 83" (without enclosure), making it suitable for handling very large workpieces, with a machine weight around 5,511 lbs.
