Technical Description
This vertical machining center features a robust table measuring 47" x 24" (optional 48" x 24") with a maximum workpiece weight capacity of 2,840 lbs, ensuring stable support for large and heavy components. The spindle is vertically oriented, available with a #40 or #50 taper (optional #50), and delivers high-speed performance with a top RPM of 10,000 (optional 6,000 RPM). The spindle is powered by a 15 HP motor (30-minute rating, optional 20 HP), providing ample torque for demanding milling operations. Tooling is managed by an automatic tool changer (ATC) with a standard capacity of 24 tools (expandable to 120), enabling efficient tool changes and extended unattended operation. A pallet changer is available as an option, supporting up to 2 pallets for increased productivity. The machine operates on 3 axes (optional 4-axis configuration), with X, Y, and Z travels of 41", 24", and 24" respectively, and a B-axis rotary table offering 360° rotation. Maximum feed rates reach 394 ipm, while rapid traverse speeds achieve 1,181 ipm on all linear axes, ensuring fast and precise movement. This configuration is ideal for high-precision, high-efficiency machining of complex parts in industries such as aerospace, automotive, and mold making.
