Technical Description

The Jyoti DX 100 is a compact 2-axis CNC turning center from Jyoti's DX series, built for small disc-type and short shaft components in high-volume production. It uses a monoblock slant bed with linear (LM) guideways, three-point leveling and gang-type linear tooling on a T-slotted table, which removes turret indexing time from the cycle. Swing over the bed is 18.5 in, standard turning diameter 3.94 in, maximum job swing diameter 7.87 in and maximum turning length 7.87 in, depending on clamping and tooling. X and Z travels are 14.17 in and 7.87 in, with 945 ipm rapid traverse on both axes. The spindle has an A2-5 nose, a 2.17 in bore and 1.73 in bar capacity, and runs from 50 to 4,000 rpm with hydraulic chucking. The spindle motor is 11/7.5 kW with a Fanuc control or 9.8/7.5 kW with a Siemens control. The gang slide carries four tools for the standard job range, takes 1 in square tools and boring bars up to 1.57 in. Positioning uncertainty is 0.007 mm to VDI/DGQ 3441. Approximate machine weight is 5,512 lb and the footprint about 78.35 x 57.87 in, 65.75 in high.
