KAAST V-TURN 450 VERTICAL MACHINING CENTER

The KAAST V-Turn 450 is a CNC vertical turning lathe engineered for high-speed precision machining of cylindrical workpieces up to 17.7" in diameter and 17.5" in length. Featuring an 18" maximum swing capacity with a 12" hydraulic chuck, this compact machine delivers efficient material removal with a 2,500 RPM spindle operating at 25 HP. The two-axis configuration provides simultaneous X and Z-axis control, with X-axis travel of 8.9" and Z-axis travel of 17.7", enabling rapid positioning and precise depth control. The machine accommodates 12 cutting tools via an automatic turret system, though only one tool engages during active machining. With rapid traverse rates of 780 IPM on both axes, the V-Turn 450 minimizes cycle times and non-cutting movements. The system incorporates a FANUC 0i CNC controller with an 8.4" color LCD monitor and 640 MB program memory capacity, supporting up to 400 registered part programs. Standard equipment includes a full-enclosed way cover, automatic lubrication system, hydraulic power supply unit, chip conveyor, and comprehensive coolant system.
