The KAFO CV-9A is a high-performance vertical machining center featuring a 3-axis configuration with travel distances of 35.43 inches (X), 23.62 inches (Y), and 23.62 inches (Z). The machine is equipped with a BT40 spindle taper, delivering a spindle power of 15 kW and a maximum spindle speed of 12,000 rpm, enabling precision milling, drilling, and tapping operations. Its table measures 23.62 by 39.37 inches, capable of supporting workpieces up to 650 kg, with rapid traverse rates of up to 48 m/min on all axes and a table-to-spindle nose distance ranging from 100 to 700 mm. The vertical machining center incorporates a 40-tool automatic arm-type tool changer with an efficient tool exchange time of 3.8 seconds, enhancing productivity in complex machining tasks. It operates on a 400 V supply with a total installed power of 20 kW and weighs approximately 7,000 kg, occupying a floor space of 3500 by 2400 mm with a height of 3000 mm. CNC control is managed via a Fanuc Oi MD system, featuring RS232 and USB interfaces, interactive manual programming, electronic handwheel, rigid tapping, and status indication through a tri-color lamp. A comprehensive cooling system includes coolant through spindle with micro-lubrication and a high-pressure pump at 20 bars, combined with a paper filtration unit and chips conveyor to maintain optimal machining conditions. The robust cast iron construction and precision linear guideways ensure stability and accuracy, suitable for demanding manufacturing and mold production environments.
