Technical Description
The Kent CNC KMH-1000 Horizontal Machining Center features a robust 39.37" x 39.37" table size designed for heavy-duty machining, supporting work loads up to approximately 4,409 lbs. Its horizontal spindle, with a BT-50 taper, operates at up to 6,000 RPM and is gear-driven for reliable power transmission. The machine operates on three axes (X, Y, Z) with travel distances of 60.23", 49.21", and 47.24" respectively, facilitated by heavy-duty roller-type linear guideways that provide high rigidity and precision during rapid traverses and feeds. The structural integrity is enhanced by an integrated table and box-type cast iron construction with "V" shaped rib reinforcements, which ensures long-term rigidity and stability by minimizing deformation and vibration. The KMH-1000 includes an Automatic Tool Changer (ATC) with a standard 40-tool capacity, extendable up to 120 tools, allowing flexible and efficient tool management. A standard pallet changer facilitates uninterrupted production cycles and improved automation. With a Fanuc 0i-MD controller and full servo system package, this machining center delivers advanced control and performance suitable for complex, high-precision manufacturing. The machine’s symmetric structure and finite element analysis-optimized design enable excellent stability and dampening, supporting high-accuracy horizontal machining operations in demanding industrial environments.
