The KIRA KDL 8TMH is a high-performance horizontal CNC machining center designed for precision turning, milling, and drilling operations. Featuring a robust horizontal spindle configuration, it supports a maximum turning diameter of 7.480" and a turning length of 14.960", with a main spindle chuck diameter of 8.000" and a max swing of 18.890". The machine accommodates bar stock up to 2.000" in diameter and is equipped with a single main spindle capable of 4,500 RPM and 10 HP for reliable heavy-duty cutting. The turret-style primary tool carrier allows for up to 12 turning tools and 12 rotary tools, with the rotary tools delivering 3 HP at 4,500 RPM for versatile milling and drilling tasks. The system supports one simultaneous cutting tool and operates on three axes (X, Y, Z), with X-axis travel of 6.500" and Z-axis travel of 18.110". Rapid traverse rates reach 1,179 ipm on all axes, ensuring fast cycle times and efficient production.
