The Kitamura HX250iG is a high-precision horizontal machining center designed for advanced manufacturing applications, featuring a compact footprint with a 10" x 10" pallet and travel capacities of 12" in X, 12" in Y, and 13" in Z axes. Equipped with a powerful 15,000 RPM spindle utilizing an NST No. 30 taper, it ensures high-speed, high-torque machining with a 15 kW (20 HP continuous) motor. The machine offers a 40-tool automatic tool changer with Kitamura’s fixed pot ATC system, which maintains tool position for rapid tool changes, facilitating minimized non-cutting time and extended tool life. The HX250iG achieves ultra-fast rapid feed rates up to 2,362 inches per minute (60 m/min), driven by dual ballscrew/twin servo motors on each linear axis. It demonstrates exceptional positioning accuracy of ±0.000078" full stroke and repeatability of ±0.000039", reinforced by linear scale feedback and high-resolution ball screws, critical for producing complex, highly accurate components. The advanced Arumatik Mi CNC control provides high block processing speeds and 1680-block look-ahead contouring capabilities, enhancing smooth and precise multi-axis machining. This machine can be configured with optional upgrades including larger tool magazines (up to 102 tools), 4th axis rotary tables, and pallet changers, making it adaptable to just-in-time and complex production environments.
