Technical Description

The Kitamura HX400iG is a high-precision horizontal machining center engineered for advanced mid-size machining applications. It offers a uniform 24-inch travel along the X, Y, and Z axes, supported by solid box guideways and linear scale feedback on all axes, ensuring positioning accuracy of ±0.000079" and repeatability of ±0.000039". The machine features a robust 30 HP direct-drive, dual-contact spindle capable of speeds up to 15,000 RPM, with an optional upgrade to 20,000 RPM. It supports a Cat 40 taper tooling system with a 50-tool automatic tool changer and is capable of rapid feed rates up to 2,362 inches per minute across all axes. The HX400iG includes a 15.75" x 15.75" pallet with a load capacity of 350 lbs and a high-speed, direct-driven rotary table with 360° indexing and speeds up to 125 RPM (45,000 degrees/min). Its 2-station automatic pallet changer (expandable in the field) maximizes production efficiency. The machine is equipped with an Arumatik-Mi CNC control system featuring 700 user macro variables, 1,000 program storage capacity, and 1280 meters of memory for complex part programming. Additional capabilities include coolant pressure at 220 PSI, tool offset capacity for 200 tools, and work coordinate offset capacity for 102 pieces. The structure utilizes Meehanite cast iron and advanced thermal compensation systems to provide outstanding stability during high-speed cutting. This HMC is automation-ready with options for field expansion, making it suitable for demanding mold, die, and precision component manufacturing.
