The Kitamura MYCENTER-HX400iG/500 is a high-performance horizontal machining center designed for precision and productivity in mid-size applications. Featuring a robust 15.75" x 15.75" (400 x 400mm) table and solid box guideways with linear scale feedback on all axes, it delivers exceptional accuracy and stability. The machine is equipped with a powerful horizontal spindle with an NST#40 taper, capable of speeds up to 15,000rpm standard and 20,000rpm optional, and a 40HP (30-minute rating) motor for demanding machining tasks. Rapid traverse rates reach 2,362ipm (60m/min) on all three axes, significantly reducing non-cutting time. The standard automatic pallet changer (APC) supports two pallets, enabling efficient part changeover and continuous operation. Tooling is managed by an ATC system with a standard 50-tool capacity, expandable to 300 tools, and achieves rapid tool changes in just 1.3 seconds (T-T) and 2.5 seconds (C-C). The advanced Arumatik-Mi CNC control provides high-speed processing, customizable interfaces, and features such as Super Smooth Surface control for complex contouring. The machine’s design includes ballscrew cooling and thermal compensation systems to maintain accuracy under varying conditions.
