The Kitamura Supercell-400G is a high-performance 5-axis horizontal machining center featuring a compact 20.1" (510mm) travel in X, Y, and Z axes, providing versatile machining capabilities for complex parts. It is equipped with a powerful gear-driven dual-contact spindle with NST No. 40 taper, capable of reaching speeds up to 20,000 RPM, ensuring superior rigidity and precision. The machine supports a large 140-tool magazine (expandable to 290 tools) with rapid tool-to-tool change times of 2.1 seconds and chip-to-chip times of 5.0 seconds, optimizing productivity for both one-off and high-volume runs. The Supercell-400G includes a standard 20-station automatic pallet changer with load/unload options and can be expanded up to 120 pallets for unmanned operation and just-in-time manufacturing. Its Meehanite cast iron construction with induction-hardened solid box ways combines durability and ultra-high rigidity, delivering positioning accuracy of ±0.002mm full stroke and repeatability of ±0.001mm. Rapid feed rates reach 50 m/min in X, Y, and Z axes, with rotary axes A and B offering swift angular positioning. The CNC control system, Arumatik-Mi, integrates advanced touch-screen operation and conventional interface for intuitive user experience, enhancing setup and control. This machining center’s versatile 5-axis configuration enables complete part machining in a single setup, reducing cycle times and improving part quality, suitable for intricate molds, aerospace, and medical components. Power requirements are 45 KVA at 200 VAC, 3-phase, with additional utilities supporting automated and energy-efficient operation in demanding manufacturing environments.
