Technical Description
This CNC vertical machining center features a 3-axis configuration with an optional 4th axis, providing travel ranges of 20" (X), 16" (Y), and 18" (Z) with rapid traverse speeds up to 1416 ipm. The worktable measures 23.6" by 12.6", capable of supporting up to 880 lbs, with optional support for indexed or rotary tables. The spindle is vertically oriented, equipped with a standard CT #40 taper and optional BT #40 taper, capable of speeds up to 8,000 RPM (option up to 10,000 RPM) and powered by a 12 HP motor rated for 30-minute duty cycles. Tooling is managed by a 12-position automatic tool changer (ATC), with a cycle time of 7 seconds per tool change and no chip-to-chip delay. The machine omits a pallet changer and U axis; however, rotary A and B axes provide 105° and 360° rotations, respectively. Feed rates on linear axes reach 400 IPM. This setup combines robust spindle power and versatile tool handling with precise linear and rotary motion capabilities, making it suitable for moderate to heavy machining tasks across automotive, aerospace, and mold manufacturing sectors. The machine design supports adaptable tooling and axis configurations to accommodate complex geometries and high-precision dimensional requirements.
