Technical Description
The Lagun GTM 2 is a T-type horizontal machining center engineered for precision machining of large components with integrated turning capabilities. This machine features an automatic orthogonal milling head with exceptional positioning accuracy of 0.003° in both bodies and 120,000×120,000 discrete positions, enabling complex multi-axis operations. The rotary table measures 1,800 mm in diameter with a maximum load capacity of 5,000 kg, rotating at speeds up to 320 rpm with a minimum indexing resolution of 0.001°.
The spindle delivers 28/34.5 kW of power at 4,000 rpm maximum, with torque ratings of 1,070/1,300 Nm (S1/S6), utilizing an HSK 100-T tool holder interface. The machine accommodates a 40-position automatic tool changer for seamless tool transitions, while the Heidenhain TNC 640 CNC control system provides sophisticated programming and operational capabilities. Internal coolant delivery operates at 36 bar pressure for efficient chip evacuation and thermal management.
Travel specifications include 2,000 mm longitudinal (X-axis), 1,200 mm transversal (Y-axis), 1,500 mm vertical (Z-axis), and 1,000 mm column movement, with rapid feeds reaching 20,000 mm/min across all axes. The machine weighs 30,000 kg and occupies floor space of 7,700×7,300×4,200 mm (L×W×H). Additional features include integrated guarding, an operator platform, portable handwheel control, and integrated touchprobe capability, making it ideal for production environments demanding high precision and versatile machining capabilities.
