Technical Description

The LAZZATI HB-2M is a high-precision Horizontal Boring Mill engineered for heavy industries, aerospace, and energy sectors. It features a robust design utilizing a hydrostatic LHS System on all axes, ensuring zero wear, smooth motion, and long-term accuracy, complemented by preloaded hydrostatic guides for stability under load. Key travels include an X-Horizontal Travel of up to 4,000 mm with modular extensions (314.96 inches standard), Y-Vertical Travel of the Head ranging from 2,000–4,000 mm (118.11 inches standard), and a Z-Spindle Travel of 62.99 inches. The machine is equipped with a powerful 93.87 hp motor (or 75 kW for the A UA 360 universal head), offering spindle speeds up to 4,500 RPM (or 5,000 RPM). It integrates a DCS (Dynamic Compensation System) for mechanical-hydraulic correction of RAM deflection and Thermal Stabilization for maintaining constant dimensional accuracy during long cycles. Control is managed via a CNC system, standardly Heidenhain, with optional Siemens, Fanuc, or Fagor, accessible through the LHI 4.0 Human Interface with an 18.5” touchscreen. Worktables support capacities from 15 tons up to 60 tons, and rapid feeds reach up to 40 m/min.
