The LeBlond RKL-1960V manual lathe is a precision-engineered machine designed for heavy-duty metalworking applications. It features a 20-inch swing over bed and a substantial 60-inch distance between centers, allowing it to accommodate large workpieces. The spindle bore is 3.15 inches, enabling the machining of sizable rods or shafts. Powered by a robust 7.5 HP motor, the lathe delivers a maximum spindle speed of 2,200 RPM, supported by an electronic variable speed headstock offering three gear ranges: low (30-125 RPM), medium (125-450 RPM), and high (450-2200 RPM), providing high torque at lower speeds for diverse machining needs. The machine includes a 13.88-inch swing over the cross slide and a 27.48-inch gap swing for additional clearance. The headstock spindle is made from forged alloy steel, hardened, ground, and dynamically balanced for precision and durability.
