A+Technical Description
The Maier ML125 is a high-performance 7-axis Swiss-type turning center engineered for precision machining of small to medium complexity parts. This machine accommodates up to 0.500" bar stock with maximum turning diameters of 0.280" on the main spindle and 0.470" on the sub-spindle, delivering turning lengths up to 6.290" and 0.470" respectively. Equipped with dual main spindles and a sub-spindle, each rated at 10,000 RPM with 7.30 HP, the ML125 enables simultaneous multi-tool operations with up to 12 turning tools and 6 rotary tools on the primary cross-working carrier, plus 6 turning tools and 2 rotary tools on the secondary frontside carrier. The machine supports simultaneous cutting with two tools, maximizing productivity through coordinated machining cycles. With 0.001-degree C-axis indexing capability and standard 5-degree mechanical indexing, combined with integrated secondary mill/drill functions both on-center and off-center with optional C-axis capability, the ML125 provides comprehensive machining versatility. The machine's solid polymer concrete base eliminates vibration and ensures industry-leading accuracy of 0.0001". Linear motor technology delivers exceptional dynamics, with rapid traverse rates of 1,600 ipm across all axes and acceleration capabilities up to 2g, establishing this as one of the fastest accelerating Swiss turning centers available. Ideal for high-volume production of electronic components and complex small parts requiring efficient cycle times and superior precision.
