The Makino U32J Wire EDM machine features precise linear travels of 14.6 inches on the X-axis, 10.6 inches on the Y-axis, and 8.7 inches on the Z-axis, optimized for producing high-accuracy components. It employs a stationary worktable design to enhance positional accuracy by eliminating di-electrode weight shifts common in traveling table configurations, thus maintaining sustained precision over time. The machine achieves surface finishes as fine as 0.07µmRa (34µinRa) with its Crystal II Circuit and supports wire diameters down to 50µm (0.002”), making it suitable for intricate applications such as plastic injection molds, precision stamping tools, and medical components.
