Makino V99L #50 VERTICAL MACHINING CENTER

This 3-axis vertical machining center features a robust table measuring 91" x 40" capable of supporting workpieces up to 8,816 lbs. It is equipped with a vertical spindle compatible with #50 taper and optionally HSK-A100 taper, delivering up to 12,000 RPM standard with an 18,000 RPM option, powered by a 30 HP motor rated for 30 minutes. The machine offers rapid traverse and maximum feed rates of 787 inches per minute across X (78.74"), Y (39.37"), and Z (31.49") axes, providing precise and efficient material removal. Tool handling is managed by a 30-station automatic tool changer (ATC) with an 8-second tool change time, expandable to 60 tools, optimizing tool availability and reducing downtime. The design excludes pallet and rotary table supports as well as a U-axis. The combination of a large, stable table, high spindle power with optional high-speed capability, and a mid-sized tool magazine makes this vertical machining center suitable for heavy-duty, large-scale milling, drilling, and boring operations where reliability and productivity are critical.
