The Mandelli M5 S Horizontal Machining Center features a robust horizontal spindle designed for high-performance machining with a maximum speed of 6,000 RPM, optionally upgraded to 11,500 RPM, and a 36 HP motor with a 50 HP upgrade option. It supports workpieces up to 3,000 lbs on a spacious table measuring 24.8" x 19.7". This center offers a 3-axis standard configuration (X: 31.5", Y: 25.6", Z: 29.5") with rapid traverse rates up to 1,575 ipm, and optional 4-axis configuration with A and B rotational axes for advanced multi-dimensional machining. The A axis provides a tilting range of 105°, while the B axis allows full 360° rotation, facilitating complex contouring and indexing tasks. The machine is equipped with an Automatic Tool Changer (ATC) designed for efficient tooling handling with zero chip-to-chip tool change time reported, enhancing productivity. An optional pallet changer supports 2 pallets standard with an upgrade to 6, ideal for high-volume or flexible manufacturing setups.
