The Mandelli THUNDER 500TT is a high-performance horizontal machining center designed for precision and heavy-duty manufacturing tasks. It features a 19.69" x 19.69" work table with a maximum workpiece capacity of 770 lbs, supporting robust machining operations. The machine is equipped with a horizontal spindle featuring an HSK 63 taper, delivering up to 14,000 RPM standard with an optional upgrade to 24,000 RPM for enhanced high-speed machining. The spindle motor provides 50.50 HP (30-minute rating) with an optional boost to 54 HP, ensuring powerful cutting capabilities. The THUNDER 500TT comes with an Automatic Tool Changer (ATC) standard with an 80-tool capacity, expandable up to 480 tools, allowing for versatile multi-tool machining setups with a rapid tool change chip time of approximately 5 seconds. It includes a standard pallet changer system supporting two pallets to optimize workflow and reduce downtime. Motion control encompasses 4 axes (X, Y, Z, and B rotary axis), with travel ranges of 27.56" in X and Y axes, 26.38" in Z, and 360° rotation on the B axis, all capable of rapid traverse speeds up to 2,362 inches per minute.
