Technical Description

The Matsuura H.Plus-405 is a high-performance 4-axis horizontal machining center designed for precision and efficiency in complex metal cutting applications. It features a CAT #40/BT tool taper with a standard spindle speed of up to 12,000 rpm, optionally upgradeable to 20,000 rpm, powered by a 15 kW (22 HP) spindle motor delivering up to 187.3 N·m torque for robust machining performance. The machine’s table supports a work surface size of 19.68" x 19.68" and can handle workpieces up to 880 lbs, facilitating the machining of sizable components. The machine offers rapid traverse rates of 2,362 inches per minute on the X, Y, and Z axes, each providing a maximum travel range of approximately 26 inches. It includes a 60-tool BT40 automatic tool changer, expandable to an optional 520-tool capacity, enabling extensive tool flexibility and reduced setup times. Although the pallet changer is standard with 2 pallets, it can be increased to 12 pallets for higher productivity. Equipped with high-speed data transfer via optical fiber cables, nanometer resolution control, and a 10.4-inch color LCD interface, the H.Plus-405 ensures precise, high-speed machining with advanced CNC control capabilities. The machine utilizes a direct-drive rotary table (optional with a DD motor) allowing fast indexing rates up to 100 rpm. Its solid and robust construction delivers excellent rigidity for molding, die, and general precision parts machining, with advanced control features such as look-ahead linear acceleration and nano interpolation for superior surface finishes. The system is compatible with FASTEMS automation for integrated manufacturing.
