A+Technical Description
The Matsuura LF-160 is a high-precision vertical machining center engineered for ultra-high-speed and high-accuracy production of small, intricate parts. Featuring linear motors on all axes, the LF-160 delivers rapid traverse rates up to 3,543 ipm on X, Y, and Z axes, ensuring fast and precise movement for demanding machining tasks. The machine is equipped with a vertical spindle capable of speeds up to 46,000 RPM, available with either BT30 or HSK-E40 taper options, and utilizes a unique balancing method for low vibration and minimal runout, resulting in outstanding surface finishes and repeatability. The standard table size is 3.930" x 3.930", with an optional larger table of 4.400" x 4.400", supporting workpieces up to 44 lbs. The LF-160 offers 3-axis standard configuration, with an optional 4-axis setup, and includes a B-axis rotary table for expanded machining capabilities. Tooling is managed via a BT30 tool carrier, with a standard magazine capacity of 10 tools and an optional 338-tool magazine for extended unattended operation. Designed for applications in medical, mold, die, and optical industries, the LF-160 combines high rigidity, minimal vibration, and advanced linear motor technology to achieve micron-level accuracy and exceptional surface quality.
