MIGHTY B-100 VERTICAL MACHINING CENTER

This vertical machining center features a large worktable measuring 100" x 46", capable of supporting up to 9,000 lbs, making it suitable for heavy-duty machining tasks. It is equipped with a vertical spindle having an NST 40 taper, standard top speed of 6,000 RPM with an optional increase to 8,000 RPM, driven by a 15 HP motor rated for 30 minutes. The automatic tool changer (ATC) accommodates 16 tools as standard, with an optional expansion to 20 tools, providing efficient tool swapping in 8 seconds without additional chip disposal time. The machine operates on 3 axes (X, Y, Z) with travel ranges of 100", 50", and 20" respectively, all capable of a maximum feedrate of 276 inches per minute and rapid traverse speeds up to 400 inches per minute. Additionally, a full 360° rotational B-axis complements the setup. This configuration favors high-capacity, versatile machining, enabling precise and stable processing of large workpieces. The absence of a U axis indicates no additional linear axes beyond the standard three. The robust table size combined with the powerful spindle and extensive tool capacity allows for diverse milling, drilling, and boring operations on sizeable industrial components.
