MIGHTY HMC-400 HORIZONTAL MACHINING CENTER

The Mighty HMC-400 Horizontal Machining Center is a CNC machine designed for high precision and rigidity on three axes (X, Y, Z). It features a 15.7" x 15.7" table supporting up to 550 lbs workpiece weight, enabling the machining of medium-sized parts. The machine operates with a #40 horizontal spindle taper, delivering up to 6,000 RPM standard with an optional upgrade to 9,000 RPM, powered by a 15 HP motor rated for 30-minute operation. It includes a 24-tool Automatic Tool Changer (ATC) for efficient tool management and a standard pallet changer with two pallets to enhance productivity. Axis travels are 17.2" (X), 19.0" (Y), and 18.0" (Z) with maximum feed and rapid traverse rates of 276 ipm and 630 ipm, respectively, contributing to fast and stable machining cycles. While an indexed or rotary table is optional or unsupported, the machine remains well-suited for horizontal milling tasks requiring rigidity and moderate work envelope capacity. The model integrates a Mitsubishi 330MV CNC control system, ensuring precise control and operation.
