This vertical CNC machining center features a robust worktable measuring 66" x 30" with a maximum workpiece capacity of 3,000 lbs, designed for heavy-duty machining. The machine operates primarily on three axes (X, Y, Z), with travel ranges of 60", 30", and 24" respectively, and provides rapid traverses up to 1,000 ipm and maximum feed rates of 500 ipm on each axis. Its spindle is vertically oriented, equipped with a BIG-PLUS® ISO No. 40 taper providing dual contact at the taper and spindle face for superior rigidity, reduced bending, and enhanced machining accuracy. The standard spindle speed reaches up to 10,000 RPM, with an optional upgrade to 15,000 RPM, powered by a 15 HP motor rated for 30 minutes, upgradeable to 25 HP for increased machining power. The tool handling system utilizes a double-arm tool carrier with a standard capacity of 30 tools, expandable to 40, optimizing tool availability and changeover time. Optional rotary table support is available to expand workpiece positioning capabilities, but no pallet changer or U-axis is included in the standard configuration. The BIG-PLUS® dual contact spindle system ensures precise tool positioning with improved tool life, enhanced surface finish, and minimized axial movement even at high speeds, making this machine suitable for high-precision and heavy machining applications.
