The Milltronics VM8434XP is a 3-axis CNC vertical machining center designed for heavy-duty metal removal operations. It features a working table measuring 86" x 34" with XYZ travels of 84" x 34" x 30", accommodating workpieces up to 4,750 lbs. The machine is equipped with a BIG-PLUS® ISO No. 50 spindle taper, delivering 35 HP and generating 365 ft-lbs of torque at 8,000 RPM with a maximum cutting feed rate of 500 IPM. The BIG-PLUS® system provides dual contact between the taper and spindle face, increasing tool rigidity and improving precision compared to conventional steep tapers. The automatic tool changer accommodates 32 CT50 double-arm tools with maximum tool length of 11.8" and weight capacity of 33 lbs. Rapid traverse rates reach 709 IPM on the X-axis and 530 IPM on the Y-axis. The machine incorporates linear cross-roller guides for enhanced rigidity and direct-coupled ballscrews for faster response. Standard features include a Milltronics 9000 Series CNC control with 120 GB storage, 4 GB memory, and a 15" LCD touchscreen, along with optional ChipBoss™ software for trochoidal milling that can reduce cycle times by up to 50%. Additional equipment includes a 300 PSI coolant-through-spindle system, Renishaw combo probe package, and a Troyke rotary table with tailstock for 4th-axis capability.
