Technical Description
The Mitsubishi Heavy Ind. M-H100EN is a high-performance horizontal machining center featuring a robust ATC (automatic tool changer) with a standard 40-tool capacity, upgradeable to 120 tools, supporting rapid tool changes in 4 seconds. Its horizontal spindle uses a #50 taper, delivering 35 HP (30-minute rating) with an optional increase to 40 HP, running at up to 6,000 RPM, with an optional 12,000 RPM spindle speed for enhanced machining versatility. The machine supports a maximum workpiece weight of 4,400 lbs on a square 31.5" x 31.5" table, equipped with a standard indexing table and an optional rotary table, enabling precise positioning.
The M-H100EN offers three linear axes (X, Y, Z) with travels of 49.2", 39.4", and 33.5" respectively, all with maximum feed rates and rapid traverse speeds of 1,575 ipm, ensuring efficient material removal and high productivity in complex parts machining. There is an optional fourth axis (B-axis) providing 360° rotational capability. A standard two-pallet changer is included, with options to increase pallet numbers up to 10, facilitating continuous manufacturing workflows and quick workpiece swaps.
This CNC machining center caters to demanding manufacturing environments requiring high rigidity, speed, and precision for horizontal milling, boring, and drilling operations, especially in heavy-duty applications such as mold making and aerospace components manufacturing. Its design balances powerful motor capacity, high spindle speed options, and flexible tooling storage, ensuring adaptability to various production needs.
