A+Technical Description
The Mitsubishi Heavy Industries M-HT11/M-HT13 is a heavy-duty horizontal boring mill designed for precision machining operations. The machine features a horizontal spindle orientation with selectable taper options: 110mm #50 or 130mm #50, accommodating various cutting tools. Maximum spindle speed reaches 2,500 RPM in the standard configuration, with an optional 4,000 RPM capability, driven by a 20 HP motor (30 HP optional) for sustained cutting performance. The work table accommodates workpieces up to 17,600 lbs, with standard dimensions of 49.2" x 49.2" expandable to 55.1" x 63.0" for larger components. Five-axis capability provides comprehensive machining flexibility: X-axis travel of 63.0" (optional 78.7"), Y-axis travel of 69.1" (optional 98.4"), and Z-axis travel of 43.3" (optional 51.2"), with a full 360° B-axis rotation for angular positioning. All linear axes deliver rapid traverse rates of 472 IPM and cutting feedrates of 157 IPM maximum. The automatic tool changer (ATC) manages 40 tools in the standard configuration, expandable to 238 tools, enabling extended unattended machining cycles. Built-in rotary table indexing provides 0.001-degree precision for complex hole patterns and angular features. The machine incorporates heavy-duty cast construction with thicker component bodies throughout, ensuring rigidity and longevity under demanding production requirements. Optional coolant-through-spindle capability and Renishaw probe systems enhance machining accuracy and efficiency for high-precision aerospace and industrial applications.
