Technical Description

The Miyano LZ-01 R2 is a CNC chucking lathe manufactured by Miyano, now marketed under Citizen Machinery. It is a high-precision chucking machine built around a general-purpose in-machine loader head; loading time is shortened through coordinated operation of the loader head and spindle. The machine provides a maximum turning diameter of 70mm (2.76in) and a maximum turning length of 80mm (3.15in), with a 152.4mm (6in) chuck. The turret carries 12 tooling stations on programmable X, Y and Z axes, with a Y-axis stroke of 70mm, and includes live (rotary) tooling rated at 2.5kW with a maximum speed of 4000 RPM. The main spindle is rated at 5.5kW continuous and 7.5kW (30-minute) output, turning up to 6000 RPM. Control is a Fanuc 21i-TB CNC unit. Floor space is 2860 x 1553mm (112.60 x 61.14in), and weight is 3600kg (7,937lbs).
