A+Technical Description
The Monarch MH-500 Horizontal Machining Center is a robust 500 mm series machine designed for high-precision and high-productivity machining operations. It features a 19.6" x 19.6" table/work support, providing a stable platform for a wide range of workpieces. The spindle is oriented horizontally with a standard BBT40 taper, with an optional BBT50 taper for increased rigidity and tooling flexibility. Spindle speeds reach up to 15,000 rpm (standard) or 10,000 rpm (optional), supporting both high-speed and heavy-duty applications. The machine delivers 20 hp (30-minute rating) as standard, with an optional 35 hp configuration for demanding tasks. Tooling is managed via a double-arm tool carrier, supporting 40 tools as standard and up to 120 tools with the optional configuration. A standard pallet changer is included, with the capability to accommodate up to 2 pallets for efficient workpiece handling. The MH-500 operates on 3 axes (with an optional 4th axis), offering X, Y, and Z travels of 28.3", 25.5", and 28.3" respectively. Maximum feed rates are 600 ipm, with rapid traverse speeds reaching 1,400 ipm on all three axes, ensuring fast and accurate positioning. This machine is engineered for versatility, reliability, and high throughput in demanding production environments.
