2020 MURATA MD200 CNC LATHES
Specifications & Market Value

Technical Description
The Muratec MD200 is a twin-spindle CNC turning center built by Murata Machinery for high-volume production of chucked parts. It pairs two identical spindles, each with its own 10-station turret, so a total of 20 tools are available and the machine can run two identical operations or first and second operations on one part. Chuck size is 8 or 10 inches and the spindle nose is JIS A2-6. Maximum spindle speed is 2,000 rpm. Each spindle is driven by an 11 kW (30 min) AC motor as standard, with a 22 kW (30 min) motor available as an option. Each turret carries driven tools powered by a 4 kW motor rated at 22 N continuous, with a maximum live-tool speed of 3,000 rpm, milling cutters up to 16 mm diameter and tapping up to M16. With the C-axis spindle and the cross and face milling heads, the front and four sides of a workpiece can be machined without re-chucking. The MD series is designed to link with Muratec MW and MS series chuckers to form an integrated machining line with compact footprint and easy set-up change. Gross weight with the gantry loader is 7,400 kg (16,314 lb). The MD100 is the single-spindle version of the same design.
