The Nakamura-Tome TW-20 is a high-performance horizontal machining center designed for precision and efficiency in complex turning operations. Featuring twin spindles and twin turrets, this machine delivers exceptional versatility for multi-axis machining tasks. The main spindle offers a maximum turning diameter of 10.630", a turning length of 7.560", and a chuck diameter of 8.000", with a maximum swing of 10.630" and bar capacity of 2.000". Both spindles operate at up to 5,000 RPM and are powered by 20 HP motors, enabling high-speed, high-torque performance. The dual turret system supports up to 24 turning tools and 24 rotary tools per turret, allowing for extensive tooling flexibility and simultaneous cutting operations. With four axes of motion, the TW-20 provides X-axis travel of 7.680" and Z-axis travel of 30.700", both axes achieving rapid traverse rates of 630 ipm for swift positioning and reduced cycle times.
